Recent Trip and Upcoming Travels- A June 2026 Update
Hello friends!
As promised, let’s give the final numbers from All in April with the match through the end of May. We were trying to raise $24,432 which would have us at 100% of our support for the year. Because of your generosity, we almost reached our goal! We ended at $19,750 which is only $4,682 short of the goal. Thank you for all the prayers and support.
Kim, Peyton and the team returned from C*ba. Here is an update she sent to some of our pastors on 6/4:
I just returned from C*ba late last night. God truly answered our prayers for unity among the teams! From day one, we felt like family, and we grew incredibly close throughout the week.
I learned so much about C*ba. Education is highly valued there, but resources are scarce. Dentists and doctors can diagnose problems, but patients often have to provide their own supplies before a cavity can be filled or a surgery can be performed. The people are resourceful, hardworking, and among the most hospitable I have ever met. To put things in perspective, a doctor earns around $15 per month, while a dozen eggs costs about $8.55.
Yet God is using these hardships to draw people back to local churches. There are two types of churches in C*ba. The first are churches that were established before the 1959 revolution. These churches are recognized by the government and are relatively few in number. The second type consists of house churches, and there are thousands of them across the island.
During our time in C*ba, we trained 19 ministry leaders on how to combine sports and ministry to reach those around them. We had soccer training, games, and Bible teaching for over 70 kids. During the community day with Yuba Baptist Church, we helped deliver food to over 60 families in need, and local leaders will be following up with those people to share the gospel.
The Reaching Generations team is made up of 18 paid staff members and 18 volunteers. They provide VBS training, children's ministry training, feeding programs for the elderly and children, healthcare initiatives, and mental wellness support through local churches throughout the island.
Hold on to your hat, because these numbers are incredible!
In 2025, they trained 80 key leaders in VBS ministry. Those 80 leaders then trained 2,224 VBS workers. More than 600 churches hosted VBS programs, reaching over 49,000 children across the island. It wasn't just the children hearing the Gospel—more than 3,200 parents professed faith in Christ and remain active in their local churches. This year, 800 churches are participating in training!
I have traveled to many countries, and I don't think I have ever seen a harvest field more ripe. God is equipping His Church there, and I am praying that the next generation of believers will be sent out as missionaries.
Thank you for all your prayers! We had electricity 95% of the time, air conditioning while we slept, water for showers, and some of the best food imaginable. God provided again and again. He even held the rain back until our activities were finished each day. What a good Father He is!
We are now entering our busiest season of ministry yet. Lord willing, in the next eight months, Kim and I will be in Bosnia, Northern Africa, Romania, Thailand, the Philippines, and 2 trips to other parts of Southeast Asia. That is seven trips in eight months. Six of those trips we will be taking teams with us which requires a lot of planning and training beforehand. Please pray for strength and health as we are ministering to people all over the world. Please pray that God would prepare the hearts of the teams we are taking and the hearts of those we are going to as we share the best news ever. We appreciate each and every one of you.
