Thankfulness- A November Update

In Luke 17:13, there was a group of lepers, 10 to be exact, who cried out “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”   The Lord told them to go show themselves to the priests and as they went they were healed.  But only one of them started shouting and “praising God in a loud voice” when he saw he was healed and turned back to throw himself at Jesus’ feet “giving thanks” (Luke 17:15-16).  He was as loud and exuberant in his thanks as he was in his cry for help. We want to be like that man! We want our shouts of thanksgiving to be louder and more frequent than our pleas before the Lord!   We are very task-oriented people and sometimes we can forget to stop and be thankful.  Because of that, this newsletter’s primary purpose is to loudly proclaim all that God has done and is doing.

First and above all else, we are so thankful to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for “qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light” and “delivering us from the domain of darkness and transferring us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Join us in taking a second to turn back and loudly thanking Him for your salvation!

On October 11th, Mark’s mom passed into the arms of her Savior. She had been sick for a long while and while we grieve the lack of her presence here on earth, we are able to rejoice and give thanks in what is Mom’s new reality. Since Mom was in Christ, she is now with Christ. The hope we have in Christ serves as an anchor that holds us fast and allows us to give thanks that in Christ every promise is a yes and amen! (2 Corinthians 1:20)

The Lord continues to grow Reese (our 14 year old)  in amazing ways. Her abilities in Spelling to Communicate continue to amaze us. She daily shows us that she is grasping the deeper things of salvation. Last week, we did a lesson on Paul’s eagerness to share the gospel with everyone everywhere because Paul lived in the reality of heaven and hell. I asked her questions  and reminded her that she doesn’t have to wait to talk to pray because God knows her heart. I asked her if she had ever repented from her sins and trusted in Christ. She spelled “N-O”. I then asked her if she wanted to repent and believe? She spelled “Y-E-S”. So we prayed and at the end I asked her if she was now saved? She smiled big and spelled”Y-E-S”. She shared it with her spelling teacher by spelling “I AM NOW SAVED.” We are joining the party in heaven and rejoicing that Reese was lost but now she is found!

We are at 75% of our monthly support and now have 9 supporting churches. We also have almost 300 people who have signed up for our newsletter and have agreed to pray for us.  We are so thankful for each and every one of you and the many ways you support us. It is so encouraging to have others join us and affirm what the Lord is calling us to do in missions.  Please pray for us as we work toward raising the last 25% of the support we need.  If you know of anyone who would be interested in supporting missionaries, please let us know.

Peyton and Kim are fully supported for their trip to Mexico in a couple of weeks. They will be building shelters for the poor in Tijuana,  learning and training  from missionaries from Radius for 8 days.

We are so thankful to God for the trips and teams He is putting together.  Almost all of our teams for 2026 are filled with a few spots still remaining.

This is what our 2026 schedule looks like, Lord willing:
